In 1998 Mike and Danielle of Tahlequah, Oklahoma started pickling corn grown in their garden. Mike tested the product on his Dad, who just kept asking for more. So they formed the Backwoods Trading Post, Inc. company.

Today Backwoods Best offers Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Corn, Okra, and Zucchini, Chow-Chow, Kiwi, and Sweet Jalapeno and Onion Relishes, as well as Marinades and Fruit and Wine Jellies.
